Has anyone gone with a tour group to thailand?
Question by KimbaQueen: Has anyone gone with a tour group to thailand?
Wondering what tour groups people have gone with, or package deals people found. I am hoping to go next summer sometime. I am interested in seeing beaches, culture, shopping, and of course beautiful structures/temples. Any locals have some insider tips or favorite spots?

Not sure why you would want a tour - travel here is very safe and easy to do - go on your own and you can customize the touring to do whatever you want and whenever you want - -

Can anyone suggest me good films set in Thailand? Preferably like The Beach?
The Beach is my favorite film, so a film like that, set in Thailand would be amazing. Ive seen Bangkok Dangerous which I was a bit disappointed with to be honest. Ive been to Thailand many times and love watching films set there. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!
I watched Brokedown Palace in the end - http://www.megavideo.com/?d=57GP6MVX Worth a watch but if youv'e never been Thailand and dont know what it is really like it could put you off lol
Can anyone help me find a place to live?
I'm a U.S. resident and would like to find somewhere to live for 6 months to 1 year. I need a break from all the Political and Materialistic BS in this country. I wanna a simple way of life in a cool place with nice people, I have thought about the DR, Panama, Thailand, Mexico and the Philippines. Here's what I'm lookin for:
1. Cheap to live
2. Friendly people
3. Beautiful beaches
4. Beautiful women...(Beautiful part not as important, I love to drink Patron)
I only speak English so I'll have to learn a new language anywhere I go and being able to work there would be a plus. Anyway, help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,

Anyone who toured Bangkok without joining tourist/travel guides?
I intend to travel Bangkok, Thailand this coming May/June 2007. We'll stay there for about 3-5 days only. I'll be with my cousins and a brother who's just 11 yrs. old. Obviously, i would want to know places there which are "family-friendly" to travel. Aside from that, we don't plan on visiting any beach because we're staying for a few days only.
We''ll also travel without any tour guide touring us around. Is it fine to travel by ourselves? Plus, what modes of transportation would be easy and accessible to reach tourist destinations in Bangkok? Thanks!
Anyone ever travelled to Thailand?
Pls give me details on the beaches, people/attitude there, safe places to eat, and a nice hotel/info
the more good info~GETS 10 pts.
Can anyone recommend any activities to do in Krabi?

Ko Chang, Thailand….. has anyone been and can recommend some things?
Hi there
My partner and I are coming to Ko Chang in April 2009 for about a week.... can anyone recommend accommodation on the island, doesn't have to be really fancy just anything that's really close to the beach, ideally on the beach front!!
Also can anyone recommend what are the best parts of Ko Chang to stay, ie: that are closer to the 'bars and restaurants' etc.....
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
