beach or island vacation spots in Asia?
I'm planning to go to one of the beaches/islands in Thailand probably around July, could someone recommend a nice place that's reasonably priced. Also how's the weather at that time of the year since i heard the rains come down from June to August or so. Any help will be highly appreciated... thanks

Does Malaysia or Vietnam have the best tropical islands in South East Asia for a holiday?
Hi! My husband and I have spent our last two holidays in Phuket and Koh Samui in Thailand. For our holiday in December year, we would like to visit another country but can't decide.
We are looking for a beautiful tropical island in either Malaysia or Vietnam, with beautiful beaches that are safe for swimming.
Does anyone know what the best islands are to visit? We are looking for islands similar to Phuket and Koh Samui, ones that have touristy areas but also have unspoiled beaches.
Any advice on hotels or resorts will also be appreciated! Thanks!
What is the best city to visit in Southeast Asia on a budget?
I'm in need of another destination, but don't want to travel any north of China, west of Myanmar, or southeast of Indonesia. I'm looking for a city that's...
- English speaking to an extent
- Is relatively safe for tourists wealthier than the local population
- That is a large enough city, and not totally dependent on farming
- Should something major that is worth seeing (nature or cultural)
- Isn't all about beaches or nightclubs
I've already been to Malaysia (east and west), Thailand (Hat Yai only), Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau, China, and Vietnam (HCMC only).
I'm currently deciding between Sanya (China), Bangkok (Thailand), and Bali (Indonesia). I'll be visiting during winter for the NOrthern Hemisphere.
Throw out your opinions!
I'm probably not going to visit the Phillippines, nor Jakarta, KL, or Singapore. That's what makes this question tricky.
How long should I spend backpacking SE Asia?
The countries I want to explore are: India, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos. I'm not looking to lie on beaches or party or participate in extreme sports. I don't want to be too strict/rushed, I don't have a plan or a schedule. I don't want to take it easy, don't want to spend days getting fat and lazy because I've got so much time on my hands. I've just finished with uni, have no real commitments, I could probably take out a year and explore, but because don't want to be gone so long that I'll start getting depressed from missing my family & friends. I plan to leave this December when all my immunisations are done. I
Has anyone done it, what can you advise? How much time in each country? Thanks.
Any suggestions on a trip to southeast asia? ( 7-9 days)?
I've been to Thailand twice and was looking for another country to visit. I really enjoy the great food, friendliness, and fantastic beaches, but am looking to do something different.
What’s the best way to spend 3 weeks in Southeast Asia in June?
I'm a female solo traveller planning a 3-week trip Southeast Asia during the first three weeks of June.
My original plan was to spend 8 days in Bali, fly to Singapore for three to four days, take the train to Kuala Lumpur and pick another destination in Malaysia to take a little side trip to, giving me about 8-9 days in KL and Malaysia. It seemed like a good idea to sway away from Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam because of the notorious monsoon season there at the time.
Any thoughts regarding this kind of itinerary, or suggestions for specific destinations? Should I consider replacing any of the points on the route with any other cities? I am interested in the culture/history as well as local arts and traditions, but hope to spend a few days on the beach relaxing, and meet as many people as possible. Quality over quantity, insider insights over getting smashed on the beach, that kind of thing.
I've gathered that the weather should be as hot as usual, but drier as the rainy season will have ended by then in that region. Or is it going to be so scorching hot that I should re-evaluate?
Any suggestions for any specific places to stay, or any local tours to embark on? In Bali, I've been pointed towards Ubud and the Gilis (maybe Lombok). Should I check out Langkawi in Malaysia?
Thank you very much!
Can you recommend any interesting place in Asia. I will travel there soon, please help me.?
A place with good beaches or old places. I heard that Philippines, China and Thailand have good ones. Any suggestions.
Travelling around Asia?
I am leaving Australia in July and flying to Bangkok. I want to travel Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Would I be better flying from country to country or can you do this by Train/ bus. Also has anybody done this trip that would recommend me where to go, I am with my girlfriend and we both like the beach but we would like to see all the major attractions in each place if we have the time.
Cheap places to go on HOLIDAY? (SOUTH-EAST ASIA).?
I was thinking maybe Philippines or Malaysia... Does anybody know any really cheap but good hotels? I really want to go to white beach in the Philippines, but I can't seem to find any decent yet cheap hotels. I'm 15 years old, and traveling with my friend (who is also my age or so), so it's not like we have a lot of money. We're thinking of spending around... 2 weeks there.
Thailand is a fantastic place to visit too (especially for those with a budget, but I've lived in Bangkok for 14 years... so I wanna try something new...) But I haven't visited all the beaches, so for those who've been to Thai beaches, recommendations would be nice. =D.
Thanks in advance!!!
