I love everything about this beach and spend quite a bit of time at it, I live up on the northern end of the beach, if you love to walk, run and swim Kata beach is the place to go, and even during the high season you wont feel crowded, the beach is much more laid back than Patong and the scenery is very gorgeous. I have two of my distance swim routes on this beach; the PU island swim and I also like to swim from the south and make my way to the north end, both swim routes really give you a good swim workout, just be careful on some of the rip currents you will see the flags on the beach, they are located near Club med Resort beach area, so just be cautious when swimming in that area. Beautiful Thailand – Life Changing Trip to Koh Chang
A music compilation of our time on Koh Chang island in Thailand. The video starts on Koh Kham which is next to Koh Mak, ranked among the world's top 10 secret and unknown islands. A mother and son adventure that changed both of our lives. A last minute trip that ended up being the most special, enjoyable and life altering experience we've ever had. We've both been through a lot the past few years. We happened to both let go and find peace of mind at the same place and time. It goes beyond vacations, beaches and sun. It was completely unexpected and not sought after. It made for an amazing time together. I couldn't find a better travel partner and am very proud this can be my mother who is very adventurous and active. Thailand is a beautiful country with a great culture. It truly is an amazing place to visit with so much to see. The people are extremely friendly and sincere, the food is awesome and it is a beautiful and interesting country to visit. Just a few years ago this was still a tiny fishing community, but in recent times has grown into a major international tourist destination. Ao Nang is a central point of the coastal province of Krabi, Thailand. The town consists chiefly of a main street, which is dominated by restaurants, pubs, shops and other commerce aimed at tourists. The main beach is used by sunbathers to a certain extent, but there are hundreds of longtail boats which offer access to other beaches on the mainland and on nearby islands. There are a number of scuba diving centres, most of which offer basic diving courses. The islands outside Ao Nang are relatively easy to access and uncrowded compared to many of the diving sites around Phi Phi Island. Climbing is another activity widely available through centres in Ao Nang, although most of the climbs are actually in the areas around the Railay, Tonsai and Phra Nang beaches. The main beach at Ao Nang is the main departure point for boats to a number of places, including the nearby resort of Railay (or Rai Leh), which cannot be accessed by road ...

Where in Thailand do you recommend for us? we want to see beautiful beaches,waterfalls and relax.?
We want to travel from Bangkok to maybe 2 or 3 destinations over a period of about 3 weeks with as little traveling as possible (my idea of a holiday is not sitting on a bus for 12hours with a chicken sat next to me!) so a few hours boat or train would be fine.
Just any suggestions or reviews would be great or routes people took and how they found the whole experience.
