What are Thailand’s best Beaches?
I am looking to go to Thailand beginning of December, I have been to Phuket, Ko Samui and Koh Pha-ngan before, so would like to give them a miss. Am looking for somewhere, where we can spend a week or two. My idea of the best beach is pristine white sand, clearest turquoise water, not too developed. And if at all possible, somewhere that has little beach huts to stay on. When we were in Koh Pha-ngan, we stayed at Baan Panburi, www.baanpanburivillage.com, and fell in love with this accommodation, so anything like that would be a dream!
Thanks so much
Best beaches in Thailand? hotels? nightlife?
I am going to thailand this summer, and i want to just chill on the beaches. i know there are many famous beaches in Thailand, but i HATE tourists. i am looking for a quiet, clean, beautiful beach. can someone give me some suggestions? I am also trying to find nice hotels to stay, since im going by myself, i don't need any fancy places to stay in, just a cozy, clean, close to beach hotel.
I know that phuket , and bangkok suppose to have great nightlife, but i am looking for a place where there don't have to be many people, definitely not a lot of prostitutes. just few good bars, restaurants, thai spa to kind of hang out at night.
All your answers will be extremely appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Btw, it's kind of important that the hotel has a gym, i mean a good gym, so i can work out few times a week.
My sister and I(both in our early twenties) are going to Thailand in December where is the best place to stay?
We like a busy place where we can party, tan, shop & do watersports but we dont want it to be too seedy. We were thinking of Patong beach but I heard that two girls might not be safe there? Also the place we go to has to have a good new years eve party!
What is the best tour to take in Phuket, Thailand?
I want to know which tour is the best one and what place is a really nice affordable place to stay near the beach? If you have any other ideas please let me know and links please.
Which is the best (family friendly) beach/island in Thailand to go to in June?
I know it's rainy season then, so which is the best beach for the season? We'd like our young children to be able to go into the sea.
Ok, so I know which beaches are good, I'm more concerned about which beaches are good in the rainy season - June. I've heard Phuket is too rough. I know Ko Samet is a dry island, but are there any others? We're only having a few days at a beach, the majority of the time will be spent travelling round with our young (1 & 5) kids

Ao Nang, All-round, Thailand’s Best Beach Destination
The development of Thai beaches, like those the world over, follows a standard cycle. First they get discovered by backpackers, for whom cheap beach-huts are erected. Islands such as Koh Muk and Koh Lao Liang are still at this stage, where the island is as pristine as anyone could wish for, but lacks the facilities which most of us don’t want to do without.
The next stage is when the developers move in and build bars, luxury hotels, restaurants and malls. Many beaches get ruined when over-development and over-population results in an unsupportable excess of pollutants. But somewhere along the way there is an optimal state, where there are enough facilities, but a still ecologically-sustainable tourist population.Ao Nang is now at this stage and represents, for many people, an ideal compromise between a pristine but boring resort and a fun but polluted one. The southern half of the beach is not yet bordered by a road, but the town has a wide enough range of facilities, for example 6 Italian restaurants, to keep most visitors happily occupied for at least a couple of weeks. Ao Nang is busy but hasn’t lost that laid back, friendly small-town feel; it is developed but still retains much of its original beauty and charm.
Ao Nang is, along with Chiang Mai, one of Thailand’s two most exciting adventure sports destinations. The home of two of the best beaches on the planet, Railay, which is also the best tropical climbing destination in the world, is fifteen minutes away by boat. The town’s location on the eastern coast of Phang Nga bay puts it within easy reach of all the fishing, diving and kayaking sites in the bay. A day-trip to Koh Phi Phi is a better way to visit the place than staying there.

Whilst in Thailand, why not check out one of Thailand's best three beach destinations

What are the best islands to visit in Thailand?
Has anyone heard of Ko Phi Phi, Ko Pha-Ngan, Andaman coast, Hat Khao Lak, Ko Kham etc.?
Can anyone please let me know which of these beaches and islands I named are the most beautiful. I can only check out one or two islands at the most. I heard that Koh Samui is not all that great.
HONG KONG – Where is the best beach to meet other young backpackers?
White sand, relaxed and not too crowded, with young travellers to hang out with and a beachside bar to drink at... Is there such a thing in or around Hong Kong? I guess I'm looking for Thailand, but my flight goes through Hong Kong.
I've heard there are some nice beaches on the outlying islands (Lo So Shing, Tung O Wan, Pui O) and in the New Territories (Sai Kung Peninsula, Clearwater Bay Peninsula). I'm not that keen on crowded city beaches, so Repulse Bay might not be for me.
Any recommendations?
