www.phuketdining.com http Nai Yang Beach Seaside Dining Tour 2008 Here is a tour of the road just behind Nai Yang beach, I just want to show you all the nice little seaside dining locations you can enjoy, dining up here on the beach is very simple and the fresh Thai food and seafood is one of the best on the Island of Phuket Nai Yang Beach Phuket one of the best beaches in Phuket to enjoy kite boarding and wind surfing, the winds up at this location are always good. Nai Yang beach is a pretty large beach and the open bay to the ocean is always a beautiful setting. I like to come up to Nai Yang about once a week to enjoy these water activities and of course see the beautiful surroundings. If you have always wanted to kite board or wind surf there are 3 -4 good shops that will teach you this sport, most shops offer around the same price for their lessons so you just have to take your pick, if you are traveling in a group, they offer some pretty good group prices. The one thing about kite boarding or wind surfing once you start, you are hooked; it really is that fun. Nai Yangbeach is very close to the airport; about 10 minutes, and if you want to go south to Patong the drive is about 45 minutes, I live in Kata beach and it usually takes me about 50 minutes to get to Nai Yang beach. I love everything about this beach and spend quite a bit of time at it, I live up on the northern end of the beach, if you love to walk, run and swim Kata beach is the place to go, and even during the high season you wont feel crowded, the beach is much more laid back than Patong and the scenery is very gorgeous. I have two of my distance swim routes on this beach; the PU island swim and I also like to swim from the south and make my way to the north end, both swim routes really give you a good swim workout, just be careful on some of the rip currents you will see the flags on the beach, they are located near Club med Resort beach area, so just be cautious when swimming in that area. The cheapest places aren't on the Internet, usually. Kata Beach is quieter than Patong Beach, there is another Up the coast on the other side of Patong, and they have many guest houses, should be cheaper. We rented a car at the airport the last time, and it actually SAVED us money over taxi to and from airport, and getting around, and made the trip easier and better. Budget Rentals had a great deal. You could rent for one night, and move around. It is low season now, and likely will be low until nearly Christmas with all the problems and bad press, so I wouldn't book for a whole trip in one place.

The land of golden temples and spiritual shrines, beaches and the list goes on. Had a wonderful time in Thailand with Mike my son the Thai fighter. What a delightful place, the shrine for Kuan Yin, Goddess of Compassion. The beaches were warm and sunny in April. One of the highlight was having a large snake put on me. It was quite and adventure. I saw the construction of this resort from start to finish so I feel pretty good that my home was built on some pretty good quality construction. If you love the ocean as I do, Kata beach is one of the best beaches in all of Thailand, if you like to surf like me the southern end is the best location, for long swims around PU Island on the northern end it is one of the most scenic swims I do in Phuket.
