Krabi, Phuket & Phi Phi – are there day trips on phi phi?
I have been to krabi & phuket and know of the day trips there. I have a friend who is considering spending a few days on Phi Phi - are there day trips there as well - surely snorkeling? - It looks like hotels are a good bit more expensive on PP as well. Any Phi Phi comparisons to Krabi or Phuket welcome - it is their first time to Thailand, 2 ladies travelling together, want a week on the beach before coming north - sure, I recommended north first then the beach but...

I am staying at Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort. How long will it take me in a taxi to Patong? Sukhumvit Rd? Karon Beach and Rawai Beach? About how much will these trips cost?
Also, what are the smoking regulations like in Thailand? In Qld, Australia, you can't even have a cigarette on the beach.
Is the Patong Bay Garden Resort in Phuket good for younger travelers (early twenties)? anybody stayed there?
