This Is Shark Bay… Or Paradise – Koh Tao, Thailand

On the island of Koh Tao in Thailand is a beautiful secluded bay called Shark Bay. The ocean-front beach offers some phenomenal snorkeling where snorkelers can go look and some corals and some reef sharks (safe sharks). The beach is white and sandy, the water is blue and crystal clear, and the coconut shakes are delicious!

There are some very nice white sand beaches - some more touristy than others. The ones that have no tourists do exist but are more difficult to get to and travel around - but you should probably go out to some of the islands -

Sorry though, there are no blue beaches that I know of - the white sand ones will have to do -

would you let 16yrold teenage daughter do THIS?!?

My eldest daughter is 22 and is currently teaching English in Phuket, Thailand. From pictures, it seems like a beautiful place. My 16 year old daughter, Amy, is absoultly dying to go visit her this June and see the beaches and visit her sister.

However, she'd be flying alone on a 30 hour flight that connects to London? and than to Bangkok. But than she'd have to have a flight to Phuket from Bangkok, which is only an hour but still. I'm very worried, she's flown before and is very excited/talking about it. However, it's another continent, not like she'd be in the city just in the airport but still, who knows what could happen. Maybe I should hire an escort? I'm so torn :I, she'll never get this oppurtunity again I'm sure, but it just seems too dangerous.

would you let your teen daughter do this?

My eldest sister is 22 and is in Phuket, Thailand teaching English. In june my daughter, who will be 16 at the time; is dying to go visit her and see the beautiful beaches. My question is, she would fly from PHL to Bangkok and have to take a plane to Phuket, which is only an hour but thats not what worries me. Do you think its safe? I feel like if the plane is delayed, than she'll miss her fly to phuket and she'll be in Bangkok all by herself, I mean its a long flight. Would you allow your teenager to do this? She'd be in Bangkok all by herself and than have to fly to Phuket...i just dont know.Shes not nervous, shes flown before but I'm not sure if it sounds like a good idea.

I and this boy are planning to go holiday with my relatives this summer?

Okay he's a good friend of mine. He's gorgeous and he's been with guys and girls(he's 17, I'm 16). We're really good friends. We've never done anything you would consider sexual (just a kiss twice)...but lately there's been some sexual bits being added to our close friendship(kiss, cook together and some showering together.) We're pretty close to being boyfriends actually....

My parents don't know I'm bisexual...but some of my aunts do.

This summer we plan to go on holiday together....with my aunts, cousins and grandmother.
We'll the idea of a European cruise is taken off the list because I've been doing European cruises every year with my relatives and we're all sick and tired of it. My relatives are from France and UK.

So, we plan to go to Asia this time...spend a month or more, divide the time between Thailand, South Korea and The Philippines. We plan to spend most of the holiday on The Philippines because they say beaches are nice there.

So my questions:

1. Should I introduce him as my boyfriend (if he is by that time)? They know I'm bisexual(except for my grandmother and my cousins.)
2. What should we do? Anybody who has some experience with Thailand, South Korea and The Philippines?
I am planning on early...it's something special to me.
Hey, my aunts would be mad if you called them old. They're not even in their 40's yet....

And no we don't plan to go around sites, malls and parks, mainly cruising and the beach...

What does this dream mean– wish fulfillment? sexual symbolism?

...I'm on vacation with my boyfriend... we fly (by plane) to a tropical paradise-- somewhere near Thailand, Vietnam, or maybe the Seychelles-- to an island, with a name that begins with the letter 'P'... we arrive at the place we'll be staying, suitcases in hand-- it's not a hotel, but a beautiful dream home, that we've managed to purchase somehow-- I'm overjoyed-- we'll be living there, from now on-- in a series of charmingly rustic wooden cabins-- the cabins are on stilts-- each cabin contains a single room (most of the rooms are square, or rectangular in shape) & they stretch from the white sand beach, out into the turquoise water, connected to each other by suspension bridges made of rope & wooden slats. We enter the first cabin, and begin to explore our new home-- each cabin leading to the next, on and on... cabin, suspension bridge, cabin, suspension bridge... the turquoise water is breathtakingly beautiful, & calm... there are no glass panes in the cabin windows-- the windows are square, open to the air; they frame the sea & sky, so that it looks like a painting, and balmy, sea breezes pour in... the cabins are spare-- most contain no furniture at all, or else they are simply decorated-- one room contains a single woven hammock-- another has a white canopy bed, and a marble & oak washstand-- another contains a few large, red clay vases, a few seashells (yoni symbolism?), and a Japanese pottery incense burner, w/ incense burning in it... most of the rooms are empty, though-- I don't mind... I'm just so happy, to be in my dream home... the last cabin door lets out onto the steps of an enormous ziggurat (sp?), made of white sand, rising from the aquamarine water, and almost reaching the sun-- I begin to climb its steps, and I wake up-- trying to remember the name of the island, whose name begins with the letter 'P,' and maybe has an 'S' in it-- something like pagos, or maybe pesache???

Where should 6 lads go on holiday this Summer?

I am trying to organise a holiday for six 19 year olds this summer. We would love to go to somewhere like Thailand but it is rainy season during the British summer.

We would like to go outside of Europe due to the strength of the Euro Vs the Pound. We also want somewhere with decent nightlife and preferably somewhere sunny with a beach.

Some ideas I had were Turkey, Mexico, Croatia.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Just to add: We are on a bit of a budget. I'm looking to spend around £1000-£1500 on the holiday
I should have added that our trip would fall between June and August

What do U think of this latest immigration raids – Sweep Results In Arrests of 110 On Immigration Charges?

A five-day effort by law enforcement to target fugitive aliens has resulted in 110 arrests, including 11 in Tampa.

The operation was organized by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, and was aimed at illegal immigrants who ignored orders to leave the country. Of the 110 arrested, 81 fell under that category; the remaining 29 had other immigration violations.

ICE officials said 24 of those arrested had criminal histories.

In addition to the 11 arrested in Tampa, 47 arrests were made in Miami-Dade, 30 in Broward, 15 in Palm Beach and seven in Orlando.

"ICE will continue to arrest and deport aliens who have ignored an immigration judge's order to leave the country," Michael Rozos, field office director for the ICE Office of Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) in Florida, said in a press release issued today. "While we are a welcoming country, we expect those wanting to immigrate here to do so in a safe, legal and orderly manner. We will conduct these targeted fugitive operations to ensure that removal orders are carried out and locate these immigration violators who potentially pose a threat to public safety. Those that want to avoid arrest should comply with the law."

Of those arrested, 93 remain in ICE custody. Seventeen were processed for removal and released under supervision as part of the Alternatives to Detention Program (ATD). Under that program, ICE can release illegal immigrants and order they be supervised until they are deported. The program is usually used for immigrants who are sole caregivers or have medical problems.

According to ICE, the arrests had an international flavor, with the home countries of those arrested including Guatemala, Haiti, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Moldova, Cuba, Bahamas, Nicaragua, Peru, Poland, Jamaica, Bangladesh, Mexico, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada and Gambia.
